3. Competition Application Procedure and Method

Preliminary Round

Eligibility for the Final Round is granted through online application and online judging

Application Method

  • Access the website (artpiad.art) or App (artpiad, Artpiad) and apply under Korea Artpiad Competition <Artwork and Artist Registration>
  • Upload Submitted Artwork : JPG/PNG file with a horizontal width of at least 2,000 px - Please take care not to be disadvantaged in judging due to image resolution issues
  • Print the Submission Confirmation
  • Preliminary round for selecting artworks to participate in the Final Round
  • Application by competition category
  • Judging is conducted online, and evaluation scores are reflected when advancing to the Final Round
  • No participation fee

Final Round

Finalist works judging, final award grade decision and announcement, and awards ceremony

  • Finalist works must be delivered to the designated storage location from July 26, 2026 to July 31, 2026
  • All materials for Final Round evaluation must comply with the principle of disclosure
  • Evaluation materials will be compiled as of the final day of the Final Round to announce winning works and rankings
  • After the awards ceremony, winning works will be permanently exhibited and programs for award-winning artists will be operated

Size Limits and Conditions for Submitted Artworks

  • Size Limits - Paintings and flat works : limited to 3 m2 or less (No. 120 or smaller) - Three-dimensional works : 100 cm x 100 cm x 150 cm (A x B x H) or less
  • Obligations of participating artists : mandatory participation in the awards ceremony and related events
  • Materials used for creative works must be capable of permanent preservation
  • If tools such as AI are used in creating the artwork, this must be disclosed
  • Method for submitting video works : save and submit the original (Full Data) as an mp4 file on a USB drive - Please take care not to be disadvantaged in judging due to resolution issues

Self-Assessment of Achievements and Experience (10%)

  • Self-Evaluation Guidelines- Evaluation based on the participant's own conscience and the principle of public disclosure- Experience and other details subject to the posting of a certificate

General Public App Access and Voting (30%)

  • Guaranteeing participation opportunities for everyone interested, regardless of nationality
  • Applying appropriate compensation to voters and those being evaluated (artists)
  • Scoring Criteria: Applying a percentage conversion method based on the highest score- A method in which the work with the highest number of votes in each category is assigned a maximum score of 100, and the remaining works are evaluated relatively in proportion to this.

On-site Participant (Viewer) Evaluation of Works (20%)

  • On-site participants (viewers) vote using the QR code assigned to the work.- Applicants sign up for the app and rate entries, with appropriate rewards applied to participants.
  • Policy applied where both evaluators and evaluated artists receive rewards.
  • Scoring criteria: Percentage conversion based on the highest score applied.- A method in which the work with the highest number of votes in each category is assigned a maximum score of 100, and the remaining works are evaluated relatively in proportion to this.

8. Competition Participation Requirements

Winning works of the Korea Artpiad Competition are dedicated to the “Artpiad Hall of Honor”

IP Transfer Agreement for Winning Works

IP (Intellectual Property Rights) for winning works of the Korea Artpiad Competition shall be owned by KoAC
